Recipe

Oshi Ground Beef Hodl Bowl

20 min6 ingredients

A simple, nutritious dish for 1–2 people. Transforms ground beef into a flavorful, non-taco meal. Chunky beef, crispy buttery bits, warm bone broth, and a drizzle of honey — eat it with chopsticks for the full experience.

Equipment

  • Griddle pan with cavities (for crispy drippings)
  • Chopsticks (highly recommended for eating)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (preferably pasture-raised, organic)
  • 1 cup bone broth (optional — can substitute stock or water)
  • 2 tbsp grass-fed butter
  • 1 tbsp sea salt (to taste)
  • 1–2 tsp honey (preferably local)
  • 1 tbsp Oshi Hodl Butter (optional, for extra flavor)

Method

  1. 01

Place ground beef in a bowl, add 1 tbsp sea salt, and mix well.

  2. 02

Form into two patties (or adjust for desired portions).

  3. 03

Heat a griddle pan over medium heat until hot.

  4. 04

In a separate pot, warm bone broth over low-medium heat.

  5. 05

Add patties to the hot pan, flattening to your preferred thickness.

  6. 06

Cook 5–10 minutes until the bottom blackens and crisps.

  7. 07

Add 1 tbsp butter on top of each patty, then flip to avoid burning the butter.

  8. 08

Slice patties into strips, then small chunks, letting butter soak in.

  9. 09

Scrape crispy buttery bits from the pan and mix with beef.

  10. 10

Increase bone broth heat to warm (not boiling).

  11. 11

Transfer beef to a bowl, drizzle with honey to melt over the chunks.

  12. 12

Pour warm bone broth over the beef.

  13. 13

Top with a generous dollop of Oshi Hodl Butter.

  14. 14

Serve immediately. Enjoy with chopsticks, sipping the broth as you go for a sweet-savory mix!

Watch it made

Tips

  • Chopsticks enhance the experience by preserving the beef's texture — avoid forks to maintain flavor integrity.

  • The griddle's cavities catch drippings for a garnish of crispy, buttery goodness.

  • Customize with your favorite broth or sweetener for a personal twist.
