Oshi Ground Beef Hodl Bowl
A simple, nutritious dish for 1–2 people. Transforms ground beef into a flavorful, non-taco meal. Chunky beef, crispy buttery bits, warm bone broth, and a drizzle of honey — eat it with chopsticks for the full experience.
Equipment
- Griddle pan with cavities (for crispy drippings)
- Chopsticks (highly recommended for eating)
Ingredients
- ✦1 lb ground beef (preferably pasture-raised, organic)
- ✦1 cup bone broth (optional — can substitute stock or water)
- ✦2 tbsp grass-fed butter
- ✦1 tbsp sea salt (to taste)
- ✦1–2 tsp honey (preferably local)
- ✦1 tbsp Oshi Hodl Butter (optional, for extra flavor)
Method
- 01
Place ground beef in a bowl, add 1 tbsp sea salt, and mix well.
- 02
Form into two patties (or adjust for desired portions).
- 03
Heat a griddle pan over medium heat until hot.
- 04
In a separate pot, warm bone broth over low-medium heat.
- 05
Add patties to the hot pan, flattening to your preferred thickness.
- 06
Cook 5–10 minutes until the bottom blackens and crisps.
- 07
Add 1 tbsp butter on top of each patty, then flip to avoid burning the butter.
- 08
Slice patties into strips, then small chunks, letting butter soak in.
- 09
Scrape crispy buttery bits from the pan and mix with beef.
- 10
Increase bone broth heat to warm (not boiling).
- 11
Transfer beef to a bowl, drizzle with honey to melt over the chunks.
- 12
Pour warm bone broth over the beef.
- 13
Top with a generous dollop of Oshi Hodl Butter.
- 14
Serve immediately. Enjoy with chopsticks, sipping the broth as you go for a sweet-savory mix!
